Wanderers pull out of 26th February fixture
It was announced today that the game between the NW Senior Academy and Glamorgan Wanderers, due to have been played on Saturday, 26th February, has been postponed.
Ian Harrison, Academy Team Manager, stated: 'We have been forced to postpone the fixture for this Saturday due to Glamorgan Wanderers' ongoing fixture backlog which sees them playing four games in a 14-day period. We were left with no choice but to postpone after Wanderers contacted us requesting a release. Their future backlog due to the adverse weather conditions has caused the club major problems which have been further compounded by a catalogue of injuries to key players. When the position was explained to us, we had no option but to grant them a release from the game at Parc Eirias next Saturday'.
Team officials said that they were in the process of offering Glamorgan Wanderers alternative dates to play the fixture.
Confirmation was also provided that Crawshays have agreed to renew their annual visit to North Wales with ongoing discussions also taking place to host a visit by Cambridge University to Parc Eirias, probably in November of this year.
The next home game scheduled at Parc Eirias is 19th March v Tonmawr whilst the team travel south to Cardiff RFC on 5th, March, 2011
