The Goats winning league run of thirteen matches came to an end at the Bala Lakeside Ground, but they still remain top by the margin of one point.
Missed penalties and kicking away possession, plus refereeing decisions cost them match winning points. Bala came out on top during the first half of play, and took the lead with a unconverted try by Ilan Rowland on the ten minute mark, and followed this up with two further converted penalties by their Argentinean player Javier Peyfra before the half time whistle giving them a eleven point lead without any response from the Goats.
The Goats came to life at outset of the second half, and began to keep ball in hand using their forwards to take play into the home side half, but were met by a strong home defence.
The match now became a physical battle with a number of off the ball encounters taking place with both sides being issued with yellow cards.
It took until the fifty eighth minute for Bala to consolidate their match winning score line with a try by Owain Pugh which Javier Peyfra converted.
The Goats had most of the final ten minutes of play, and were rewarded after sixty five minutes from a forward drive over the home try line with a try by Aled Meredith which Arthur Lennon converted.
The match now was one of each side having chances of improving there score line, but strong tackling defences keep firm, and the match concluded with the home side bringing the Goats winning run to an end.
