David Jones saved the life of Mel Jones, who collapsed in a petrol queue and 'could have been dead for up to five minutes'
A rugby club volunteer has been hailed a hero for resuscitating a dying man just days after learning how to do CPR.
David Jones saved the life of Mel Jones, who had collapsed while waiting in a petrol queue.
The 54-year-old from Colwyn Bay happened to be passing by when he was told that a man had “died”.
The youth team volunteer, first aider and coach instantly began a 30-minute bid to save him, using skills he’d learnt days before on the Welsh Rugby Union/ St John Cymru-Wales Rugby Emergency Aid course.
