Dolgellau Rugby Club held their annual registration day on a wet and windy Marian last Saturday giving players across all age groups the chance to sign up for the coming season.
As part of the day, the club progressed their ‘Rugby Inclusion Policy’ to give players of all abilities the chance to try the sport and have a ‘Positive Rugby Experience’.
Club coaches and officials organised a tag rugby game for both men and women with different learning abilities to enjoy an hour of enthusiastic rugby.
As part of the WRU policy, events such as these are likely to take place on a regular basis.
The highlight of the day was a memorial game for former coach Pat Jefferson being played during the afternoon with veterans from Dolgellau RFC taking on Cobra and District (Welshpool). Dolgellau winning 26-21.
A ‘Duck Race’ was held along the Afon Wnion .There was also a Youth team pre season friendly against Cobra. Dolgellau winning 14-12.
To end an enjoyable albeit wet Saturday a band session was held in the evening at the Marian Club House.
