RGC 1404 U18 take on Cardiff Blues, match preview and squad
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE UNDER-16 GAME HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE A WATERLOGGED PITCH AT COLWYN BAY RFC
Both RGC Age-grade sides are in action again this weekend with the Under 18s playing the Blues and the Under 16s the Blues. For the Under 18s Sundays match offers them a very quick opportunity to avenge last weekends 32-3 defeat to the same opposition. On that occasion they were comprehensively outplayed in all aspects of the game and they will be keen to demonstrate that they are a better team than they showed at Glamorgan Wanderers ground. As well as being the last fixture for the RGC 1404 side in this seasons regional age-grade competition,Sundays game will also be the first to be played at Eirias Parc in Colwyn Bay since it's dramatic re-development and it is hoped that a large crowd will be in attendance to watch the game which kicks-off at 2.30 pm.

The afternoon of Sunday 18th December sees the first competitive Rugby match to be played at the new state of the art facility at Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay - the home ground for all of the WRU Under 20s fixtures in 2012.
As well as an opportunity for spectators to see for themselves this fantastic new development, surely one of the top five facilities in Wales, there will also be the chance to watch international players of the future as the RGC 1404 Under 18 side take on their counterparts from the Cardiff Blues in their final match of this years regional age-grade competition.
For many players the regional age-grade competition is one of the first steps to-wards senior international honours and the likes of Sam Warburton, Scott Williams and North Wales' own George North have all played in it in recent years. This year's competition has been the RGC 1404 Under 18 team's most succesful yet and they will be looking to end their season on a high with a win against a Blues side which is bound to be strong and which has won the competition for the last 2 years. The game kicks off at 2.30pm and with admission being free it is hoped that as many people as possible will take a break from their Christmas shopping to cheer on the RGC 1404 team.
Marc Roberts the Regional WRU Performance Development manager said "Our U18's game against the Blues is a great opportunity for the North Wales public to come and see first hand how good a facility we now have. For the WRU RGC Academy to create performance rugby players we must have performance facilities and in Eirias we know have that, a stadium and facility that all in North Wales can be proud of."
