Div 1 title chase still on, and games in all Divisions this Saturday
Current champions Pwllheli were taken all the way at Llandudno eventually edging out the home side 17-15. They have now reduced the gap between themselves and leaders Nant to three points -they have two games left and could reach 93 points with bonus wins. Nant who are otherwise engaged this weekend are on 86 points with three games remaining and need two straight wins to clinch the title ie 94 points. Matches to play are as follows Pwll - Away at both Llangefni and Bala. Nant- Away at Colwyn Bay, Home against Llangefni and Llandudno.
Elsewhere Bro secured senior status for next season with an emphatic home win against Llangefni.
Dolgellau had a good win against Colwyn Bay but Bro's victory meant that they are relegated with Bay to Div 2 next season.
Bethesda finished their season on a high defeating Rhuthun 18-5 at Dol Ddafydd, whilst Bala consolidated their third spot and maintained their good form for the Conwy Land Rover cup final with a big win at Caernarfon.
In Div 2 COBRA won the mid wales derby 32-9 at Newtown , Llanidloes had a big win against Abergele as did 2nd place Shotton against Rhyl. Its going to be some match between COBRA and Llanidloes in the Mid Wales Cup next month. Promotion favourites Shotton still need points to secure second place and face a big challenge on Saturday when leaders Dinbych come calling-a great game in prospect here.
In Div 3 Teirw Nant already promoted finished their campaign with a victory against Rhos and Holyhead secured second spot completing a very successful season with a home win against Pwllheli 2nds.
