In a bruising encounter at Maesdu Road, the Goats won of by a slender margin of two points, with Nant losing a player to a Red Card in the second half of play. With only two minutes of play on the clock, Nant took an early lead with a converted penalty by Sion Pringle.
This first half was played with both sides counter attacking from defence, and this continued for long periods of play.
The Goats from a sustained attack just on twenty five minutes of play with backs and forwards combining saw Rhys Henderson cross the try line to touch down for an unconverted try .
The Goats should have taken a comfortable lead in this first half with a number of penalties being awarded inside of the Nant half, but decided to kick to touch instead of going for three points with penalty conversions.
Nant came back strongly at the start of the second period of play, and on thirty six minutes were rewarded with there only try of the match by Gwion Jones which Sion Pringle converted.
It was at this stage that they lost Carwyn Evans when he was issued with the red card and left the field of play. The Goats now needed to increase there lead with more match points, and they started to gain ground well into the Nant half and it was on the sixty minute mark that they finally gained the match winning score when from a line out they drove towards the Nant try line with Morgan Owen getting the match winning try with Ryan Pike adding two more points with the conversion.
