The Goats followed up their recent mid week North Wales Cup win against Ruthin, with another league win at Maesdu Road against Llangefni, extending their unbeaten run into the New Year.
The match was played in weather conditions of constant rain and wind strengths up to 70mph, but the Goats overcame this with short inter passing and support play, and a solid and sound defence which did not allow Gefni to score any points.
With just seven minutes on the clock, they registered their first points of the match with a try by Rhys Henderson who was to score four of their six tries ,the next try started from within their own 22m area with the whole back division taking play up to the Gefni try line, and support play by the forwards saw Morgan Owen touch down for an unconverted try on fourteen minutes.
It was from a similar movement that Rhys Henderson scored his second try on twenty three minutes which Arthur Lennon converted. The Goats now settled into a pattern of play to suite the playing conditions, with closing passing and support play.
Rhys Henderson now scored his third try by being up in support on thirty one minutes which Arthur Lennon converted, and they finished this first half scoring spree with a final try just before the first half whistle on thirty nine minutes giving them a healthy twenty nine points lead going into the break.
Conditions now into the second half of play further deteriorated with wind gusts increasing, and this limited the Goats style of open play and reduced their final scoring to just two more tries by Dylan Coulter who touched down on fifty two minutes near the posts which Arthur Lennon converted. They continued to dominate proceedings gaining maximum match winning points with the final points coming from a try by Byron Davies, converted by Arthur Lennon.
