With an interval score of 6-7 to Pwllheli, it was difficult to believe that Pwllheli had won the Division One North title whilst their opponents, Bro Ffestiniog, had been relegated. Such was the closeness of this encounter.
It was Pwllheli who struck first with the only try of the game after twenty minutes, converted by Osian Parry Jones to go 7-0 up.
It took Bro just a couple of minutes to get their first points with a penalty.
Bro set up a mouth-watering second half prospect when they scored a penalty on the stroke of half time to bring the score to 6-7.
Bro started the second half well but failed to get on the scoreboard. This allowed Pwllheli to gain a foothold and it was the boot of Osian Parry Jones, with four penalties, that allowed Pwllheli the finish the game with a 6-19 advantage and claim the North Wales Senior Plate to go with their Division One North title.
