League leaders Caernarfon bounced straight back to winning ways after their first set-back last weekend with a maximum points win at home to Llangefni as they ran in seven tries to win by 46-3. Full-back Lance Owen crossed for a hat-trick of touchdowns, others coming from centre Dafydd Roberts, replacement Iolo Hughes and flanker Andrew Williams with outside-half Kelfn Morris adding a penalty and four conversions. Wing Carwyn Milburn replied with a penalty for the visitors.
Second-placed Bethesda kept in touch as they too claimed a bonus point try in their 26-16 win at Pwllhelli, the tries coming from No 8 Dylan Williams, second-row Gavin Owe and outside half Gareth Wyn Roberts. Three of the four tries were converted by flanker Carwyn Williams. No 8 Huw Williams and wing Thomas Henry crossed for the home side with full-back Gethin Roberts kicking a brace of penalties.
Mold remain in third place, a point behind Bethesda but with a game in hand after their narrow 24-22 win at Colwyn Bay.
Nant Conwy took the points at neighbours Bro Ffestiniog by 17-27.
Llandudno overcame visitors Ruthin 14-12 with tries from centre Dave Davies and flanker Lewis Griffith.
The following report was kindly supplied by Nant Conwy:
Bro Ffestiniog 17 v Nant Conwy 27
In front of a good crowd supporting both sides Nant took a quarter an hour to go ahead with a penalty kick off Andre. The Nant pack became more and more prominent. So much so that one of the Bro forwards was sin binned after 25 minutes for persistent offending. Nant took full advantage of the extra man and it was a joy to see the pack driving over the try line after covering over 20 metres of ground with No. 8, Carwyn Ellis scoring the try after 28 minutes play. Then, Euros Jones, the Centre broke the defensive line for a try, converted by Andre after 32 minutes play. A half time score of 0 – 15 was thus obtained
Bro began the second half brightly and centre, Barry Roberts went over for an unconverted try after 6 minutes play. But the Nant pack re-asserted their authority and Carwyn scored his second try of the match after 13 minutes – a try which was unconverted. Nant remained in the Bro 22 m area for quite a while and eventually, Ifan, the scrum half darted over for another try from the base of the scrum with Andre converting this time. Barry Roberts seized on a loose ball to score his second try after 20 minutes and, this time, he converted his own try.
There was 10 minutes left when, Tom James, the Bro Lock barged over for a try from a line out conceded after a penalty against Nant. But the Nant pack again came to the fore during the last few minutes of play without creating a real scoring opportunity to make the final score 17–27.

Llandrindod Wells remain close to basement danger in Division Six Central after slipping to a 27-44 home loss to Llanrumney. The Wellmen had led 27-22 after an hour, profiting after Llanrumney had two players sin-binned, but faded late on as their visitors made the most of defensive lapses. There were four tries in all for Llandrindod through flanker Gareth Kinsey, second row Dave Smith, No 8 Geraint Evans and prop Richard Watkins, while fly-half Jonathan Duggan kicked two conversions and a penalty.
