Both RGC regional age-grade sides are in action this weekend as they travel South to face their Scarlets counterparts - kick-off times to be confirmed
The Under 18s will be playing their first game in the regional age-grade competition since their 34-8 win over the Ospreys at the end of September and they will be looking to build on that victory against a Scarlets side to whom they lost in their opening game back in August. Whilst the RGC side feel that they have improved since then the same is sure to be true of the Scarlets and it promises to be a highly competitive affair at Parc y scarlets on Sunday afternoon.
For the Under 16s who are playing at Bynia RFC, the age-grade competition has proved top be a bit of a baptism of fire, however they will be heartened by an improved performance against Cardiff Blues North at the weekend,as they seek to avenge a heavy defeat that they suffered against the Scarlets in their opening game of the season.'
Marc Roberts the WRU North Wales Performance Manager, pictured, said "We are in an unusual position as the feeling in the U18s and u16s couldn't be more polarised. The U18s are full of confidence and optimism, however they are realistic about how strong the Scarlets U18s will be. They will have to be at the top of there game to get a result. However the U16s are really struggling with a lack of confidence and belief, this is something that as a squad they will be working hard to improve in this weeks training sessions"
