RGC are set for the Heineken 7s on Saturday at Parc Y Scarlets, when they open up against Cross Keys.
Performance Manager Josh Leach knows it is a great opportunity for some of the younger players to gain some good experience.
"Due to the RGC v Wales game we will again be taking a young side to this years Heineken 7s. This has been the case in past tournaments and has always proven a very worthwhile experience for the players involved, and our teams have been very successful in the past.
This years team will be a combination of RGC XV, RGC Academy, and a selection of players from North Wales clubs who have shown potential in both the 15 a side and 7 a side formats this season. I would like to think it is a good opportunity for all these young players to show there skills and represent north Wales in a national level competition, which has served as a credible talent ID event for Wales 7s each year.
Big thanks must go to Denbigh RFC, Nant Conwy RFC, Ruthin RFC, Bethesda RFC, and Llandudno RFC, who have released their players to take part in this competition. "
