This report has been circulated by the WRU to all Club Operation Managers.
The player will need to self-isolate as he/she has provided a positive test. However there is no requirement for the other players or staff who were in contact with him/her to self-isolate, if they have been fully vaccinated or are under 18.
However if they have symptoms or have tested positive themselves then they would need to self isolate. There may be certain circumstances where contacts who are fully vaccinated or under 18 are asked to stay away from work or not attend certain vulnerable settings.
Public Health Wales (PHW) will advise in terms of the next steps. Contact tracers will get in touch with all identified close contacts and provide advice according to their circumstances. This will include the offer of PCR tests on day 2 and day 8 following exposure and advice around self-isolation.
Please see the relevant Alert level 0 guidance below:

The players who are fully vaccinated can train and play. However the players who have not been fully vaccinated may have to self-isolate, depending upon the advice of Public Health Wales (PHW) Track and Trace.
If these players have been contacted by PHW and informed to self-isolate then they would need to do so for 10 days. This could also result in opposition players being contacted by PHW
