Llangefni RFC are celebrating their return to Division One North after amassing a fantastic 950 points during their promotion-winning season.
On Saturday, Llangefni made sure of the Division Two North title with yet another impressive performance and scoreline, this time 72-0 against Harlech.
Whilst, in recent weeks, all have been watching the battle for second place between Abergele and Colwyn Bay, Llangefni had been quietly going about their business, racking up big win after big win and it was just a matter of time before they were declared Division Two Champions.
You have to go back quite a way before you see the one 'L' on Gefni's results, a 17-9 defeat at runners-up Abergele.
That was one of the few close scorelines for Llangefni, they have scored 950 points in the league this season, a magnificent effort when you consider that this is averaging 53 points per game, easily the highest in the North Wales Divisions. Couple this with just 137 points against, an average of eight per game, and you can see what a season this has been for the Islanders.
The future is also looking bright when you consider that last Saturday's squad which was chosen against Harlech included fifteen players who are under the age of 25, and eight of those are under 21.
