A bumper crowd were treated to a festival of running rugby recently at Rydal School, as the Under 14 & 15 provincial sides as well as a Welsh Exiles Under 15 team faced each other in what has now become their traditional end of season tournament
Apologies that this report has been uploaded a few days after the tournament took place but, with so many finals taking place over the weekend, reports are running behind a little - back on track now!

On this occasion it was Gogledd West who took the honours at both age-groups with their Under 15 side comfortably defeating their Gogledd East counterparts in their final and their Under 14s coming out on top of a three way league involving themselves and the other two provinces.
The Under 15 3/4 place play-off match between Gogledd South and the Welsh Exiles was won by the latter in thrilling fashion with a try scored in the final minute of the match.
As well as marking the end of the season as far as the provincial teams are concerned, the Tournament also acted as the last chance for players to stake a claim for selection for next season's RGC 1404 Under 16 age-grade team, the composition of which will be announced in the very near future.
Speaking after the Tournament Marc Roberts, the region's Performance Development Manager commented:
'We are very grateful to Rydal School for both hosting and sponsoring this afternoon's Tournament and would also like to thank the many parents in attendance for giving up part of their Bank Holiday weekend to support their children.
For many, particularly those whose sons played for the Exiles, this represented quite a commitment but one which I am sure they would agree was completely worthwhile. Last year's initial Provincial Tournament was incredibly useful in helping us finalise our squad for the Under 16 Regional age-grade Tournament and this year's was no different with a number of players very firmly staking claims for inclusion. The Tournament has really proved it's worth as part of our elite development programme and I am sure will continue to do so for many years to come.'
