The Goats made club history with this cup win, having already won the North Wales Championship making it a season double.
The match was very evenly contested up to the final whistle, but it was the sure footed Goats that came out on top in the second half of play.
Nant opened the scoring just after five minutes of play, when the Goats were caught offside just inside of there own half, and from the penalty conversion by Delwyn Jones that they took the lead>
However the Goats almost immediately hit back on eleven minutes with a penalty conversion by Arthur Lennon to even the scoreline, and he regained the lead for the Goats with another penalty conversion on nineteen minutes.
The match was a very physical encounter with a number of yellow cards being issued by the referee.
Nant came back strongly just before the halftime whistle with a penalty conversion by Delwyn Jones that made the match six points all.
The second half saw the Goats beginning to settle into a pattern of play that they had shown all season with the forwards setting up a platform for the backs, and it was from a loose kick by Nant that the ball was collected and taken back into there half of play, and quick ball out to the wing that winger Dan O"Sullivan collected the final pass to race along the touchline for the first try of the match on fifty five minutes.
The Goats now began to enjoy more territorial advantage putting more pressure on the Nant defence, and it was after a period of sustained pressure that on the sixty nine minute mark that Cameron Davies crossed the try line for a touch down just near the posts which Arthur Lennon converted for the final match winning points.
Nant did however have the final say of the match with a try by Ifan Jones on seventy eight minutes, but the Goats now sensed the win and kept possession of the ball for the remaining minutes of play to record this very historic club season win of both League Championship and Cup.
