The young Scarlets ladies proved too hot to handle as they defeated RGC U18 by 0-53.
From the kick-off the Scarlets showed their attacking intent and were throwing the ball around at every opportunity. Some sterling defence by the young Gogs kept them out until the 15th minute when Caitlin Lewis opened the scoring the visitors with their first try of the afternoon.
Two minutes later some sublime passing along the line led to the second try, finished off by Sian Davies and a lead of 0-10 to the Scarlets.
RGC were battling hard to get their hands on the ball and enjoyed a period of possession and some time spent in the opposition half. However, it was Caitlin Lewis who scored her second try after 27 minutes, converted by Darcy Thomas, to extend the lead to 0-17.
With half time approaching the Scarlets forwards were now joining in with the backs and some fine interplay saw Hatty Davies make a break and score, with Darcy Thomas converting, giving a half time score of 0-24.
A second Sian Davies try early in the second period, converted by Thomas, was quickly followed by Darcy Thomas scoring and converting a try of her own, making it 0-38.
There was no thought of throwing in the towel by the game RGC team who fought like terriers for every ball and then enjoyed their best period of the game in a fifteen minute spell when they deserved to get a score of some sort on the board.
As the game entered the fourth quarter and replacements were made by both teams, the Scarlets upped the pace and were rewarded with a quick brace of tries scored by Ellen Morris and Celyn Lazenby.
The final score of the game came late in the half when Rosie Davies crossed and made a full time score of 0-53 to the impressive Scarlets.
