North Wales Women's Game Changer, Dave Roberts, joined family and friends on Friday night as the Womens National team were given a World Cup send-off.
Dave Roberts, North/Mid Wales Women's Game Changer was at the offical send off on Friday night prior to the Welsh team heading to Ireland for the World Cup.
Dave said: 'It was a brilliant night with players and their families all in attendance.
Good luck speeches were given by Geraint John, Martyn Phillips and Caroline Spanton as well as speeches from Rowland and Carys Phillips. The players and management then treated everyone to a rendition of their team song for the world cup – Yma o hyd.
The evening ended with players mingling with family and signing autographs and having pictures taken before heading off to their hotel ready for their Saturday morning flights.
It was a privilege to be there and I, and I am sure everybody else involved in Welsh rugby, wish the girls all the best in Ireland. I passed on the best wishes especially from all the clubs in North and Mid Wales'.
Players involved either based in North Wales or of North Wales origin are:
Rachel Taylor
Elen Evans
Jess Kavanagh-Williams
Gwenllian Pyrs
Dyddgu Hywel
