Sam Warburton returns to action for Wales against Australia in Brisbane on Saturday after an 11-week lay-off.
The Wales captain last played in the Grand Slam decider against France, but only lasted until half-time because of a nerve problem in his shoulder.
Scott Williams is in for injured centre Jamie Roberts, while there are three changes in the pack from that game.
Hooker Ken Owens replaces Scarlets team-mate Matthew Rees, while Bradley Davies and Luke Charteris are at lock.
Blues powerhouse Davies and Perpignan-bound Charteris come in for Ian Evans - who joins the tour party immediately after his wedding this weekend - and his fellow Osprey Alun Wyn Jones, who moves to the bench along with Rees
Caretaker coach Rob Howley is without the 2009 British and Irish Lions man of the series Roberts because of a knee injury, but can call on Williams to partner Jon Davies in midfield.
Ashley Beck was the only uncapped player among the 16 frontline players sent as an advance party to Australia before Wales' 30-21 victory over the Barbarians in Cardiff last weekend.
The Ospreys centre has been named on a strong-looking bench that includes Paul James, Ryan Jones, Lloyd Williams and James Hook.
Australia suffered a shock 9-6 defeat by Scotland on Tuesday and Wallabies coach Robbie Deans has responded by making eight changes in personnel, nine positional, at the Suncorp Stadium.
There are five newcomers in the pack, including an all-new Waratahs front row, and four more behind the scrum.
Loose-head prop Benn Robinson returns to the Test arena after an 18-month absence and fit-again Wycliff Palu gets the nod at number eight, with Scott Higginbotham shifting across the back-row to six.
Melbourne Rebels wing Cooper Vuna, a convert from rugby league, will make his debut after Joe Tomane rolled his ankle in training.
"Australia will be disappointed after their defeat to Scotland, but that will make them all the more dangerous for us," said Howley.
"The Wallabies are still the second highest placed side in the world rankings and we are playing them in their own back yard.
"We all appreciate the enormity of the task ahead of us, the long-term stats don't make happy reading for the Welsh against the Wallabies.
"As recently as this season we have two losses racked up against Australian opposition and we are determined to stop that trend."
Wales' Australia tour
Saturday, 9 June: Australia v Wales (Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane; 11:00 BST)
Tuesday, 12 June: Brumbies v Wales (Canberra Stadium, Canberra; 10:30 BST)
Saturday, 16 June: Australia v Wales (Etihad Stadium, Melbourne; 11:00 BST)
Saturday, 23 June: Australia v Wales (Aussie Stadium, Sydney; 06:00 BST)
Wales have a more settled look, with Warburton set to test himself once again against rival outstanding seven David Pocock.
The Cardiff Blues flanker takes his place in a formidable back-row of Dan Lydiate at blindside flanker and Toby Faletau at number eight.
Mike Phillips and Rhys Priestland resume their duties at half-back, while full-back Leigh Halfpenny plus wings George North and Alex Cuthbert forming a settled back-three combination against the Aussies.
The clash in Brisbane pits Six Nations champions Wales against reigning Tri-Nations champions Australia in a classic battle of the northern and southern hemisphere.
Australia have won the last four Tests between the sides, including their last match in Cardiff in December and their previous clash in the 2011 World Cup third-fourth place play-off.
Wales' last victory over the Wallabies came in Cardiff back in 2008, but the visitors made it six wins in a row this year with their victory over the Barbarians.
However, Wales have not beaten a Tri-Nations side away from home for 25 years and last beat the Wallabies on Australian soil in 1969.
Wales have not taken a major scalp in the southern hemisphere since beating Australia at the 1987 World Cup in New Zealand.
