Dolgellau Rugby Club Youths celebrated their League 2 championship winning year in fine style last Saturday evening.

Held at the rugby club, over seventy players, relatives and officials enjoyed an excellent meal and year end awards for the players and club.
Having beaten Mold into second place, the Mawddach Valley lads produced an amazing 457 points tally with only 149 points being scored against them, the lowest in the league on both counts. They were only being beaten on three occasions.
The youths also progressed to the quarter finals of the WRU National Bowl Quarter final only to lose at the Marian by a big Pontypool Youth side. Dolgellau lost 3-20 having been ahead at half time.
Lewis Jones took both the coveted ‘Players Player of the Year’ and a well deserved ‘Back of the Year’ title.
Dafydd Roberts won the ‘Player of the Year’, with Jake Hinge winning the ‘Top Try Scorer’ title.
