As the fantastic Bill McLaren would have said: ‘They’ll be dancing in the streets of Holyhead tonight’!
And on Sunday night the champagne surely would have been flowing in the Parry household, celebrating brother and sister, Mei and Rhodd Parry, both turning out for the RGC Senior sides this weekend.
Mei has been playing for RGC for a number of season and spends his free time coaching the Holyhead senior men’s side.
Younger sister Rhodd made her senior debut for RGC Women on Sunday at Sardis Road against the Scarlets after impressing for Holyhead last year in her first ever season. A fantastic achievement.
A beaming Holyhead spokesman stated: ‘We are so proud of both Mei and Rhodd who have shown all the youngsters in our club that there is a pathway to the top and that if you work hard, as both these two have, that you can reach that pinnacle. They are super role models’.
Congratulations to both Rhodd and Mei and well done Holyhead RFC – onwards and upwards!
