Bethesda 13 v 8 Pwllheli (half time 3 - 3)
In a game of limited opportunities but full of character and skilful determination, the home side reversed the outcome of the first league fixture of the season. A similar game in many ways, the scores remained tied at 3 - 3 at half time. On twelve minutes, centre Mathew Parry converted one penalty out of three attempts whilst full back Owain Williams split the sticks for Pwllheli twenty minutes later.
Three minutes into the second half and after much forward pressure, Bethesda scrum half Carwyn Williams squeezed in at the corner flag. Mathew Parry was sucessfully the conversion. It was now Pwllheli's turn, and with quick hands and slick passing the ball eventually reached full back Williams who crashed over the try line. He failed to convert his own try and three minutes later, after a yellow card offence at a ruck, Parry extended Besda's lead with another well struck penalty for a 13 - 8 score.
Possession and territory ebbed and flowed but the home side failed to take the numeracy advantage even though the same player was yellow carded for the second time five minutes from the final whistle. Well refereed, not an exciting game, but the defences of both side were excellent.

Llandudno 7 v Caernarfon 40
Lowly Llandudno defied their league status and gave the current champions a scare before superior fitness and direct running eventually allowed the Cofis to pull clear within the last quarter. For the onlooker however, the necessity to play uncontested scrums from the onset, at Llandudno’s request took the edge off the contest.
Caernarfon started brightly and stretched the home defence in the opening minutes but failed to execute the final pass that would have seen points on the board. Sadly, there were far too many instances of indirect running and wayward passing throughout the afternoon that put the Caernarfon defence under unnecessary pressure. Having survived the initial onslaught, the home team rallied well and drove at the heart of the Cofi defence, breaking numerous tackles in the process. From a series of drives after some fifteen minutes, Tommy Hocknell the lively scrum half, found a tiny gap on the blind side of a ruck and weaved a path to the try line. He duly converted his own five pointer. This should have been the wakeup call that Caernarfon needed but a lack of direction and poor kicking made Llandudno’s defensive duties that much easier and they arrived at half time seven points to the good.
Caernarfon started the second half with more purpose with numerous individuals offering to take the ball at pace. One good carry by Jack Mathews and quick recycling found full back Lance Owen entering the line at pace and his inclusion created enough confusion in the opposition camp to allow him to outpace the cover and record Caernarfon’s first points. Kelvin Morris added the extras.
Slowly the pendulum was swinging in favour of the Cofis as they gained more forward momentum with scrum half Bryn Jones lively, industrious and releasing his backs when on the front foot. A quick tap penalty was fed wide with a trademark Alan Mark charge being thwarted just short before Carnedd Williams picked up the scraps and crashed over in the corner to put the Cofis ahead at last. Minutes later a Bohanna charge resulted in a clearance kick being charged down before a long looping pass from Andrew Williams found center Iolo Hughes in enough space to cross the try line and afforded Morris yet another conversion. With the Llandudno pack tiring from being dragged from one side of the pitch to the other and contesting countless breakdowns it was not surprising when wing Barry Jones dissected the cover to ground between the posts. Morris was again at hand to add the extras to this bonus point try.
Llandudno to their credit never gave up and came close on a number of occasions to increasing their own points tally with the flyhalf leading by example.
At this point Caernarfon introduced a number of fresh legs who could all be pleased with their contribution. Gareth Thirsk drove at the defence and on one such intrusion Alan Mark was at hand to collect and gain his reward for a disciplined performance when he bulldozed his way to the try line. Up stepped Lloyd Davies the replacement fly half to coolly dissect the posts. With the game safe Caernarfon spun the ball wide at will and the best phase of play of the day saw flanker Andrew Williams who had a fine all-round game power his way beyond the cover to score a much deserved touchdown. Davies again added the extras to draw the match to a close.
Caernarfon return to the Morfa next Saturday to face the challenge of Pwllheli.

Llangefni 24 v Bro Ffestiniog 34
With Bro Ffestiniog having lost just three of their season's games so far and positioned 3rd in the league, Llangefni were expecting a hard game. But with playing conditions a lot better from when both teams last met, when Bro won, Llangefni were the dominant for most of the game. But allowing Bro to come back and take the spoils in the last minutes of the game when fitness showed through, the final score Llangefni 24 - Bro Ffestiniog 34.
Llangefni kicked off the game to a lively start with Cefni showing their early intentions. Just 5 minutes into the game a break from deep territory by Cefni scrum half Mark Gray, taking in the Bro defences before passing out wide to centre Tom Williams who was able to run through the remaining defence and under the posts for the first try of the game. Successfully converted by the reliable boot of centre half Carwyn Milburn, the score 7 – 0. Play continued with Cefni playing with some determination and style. Just 12 minutes into the game and from deep in Cefni territory, with good interplay within the squad, started by Cefni captain no. 8 Iestyn Dafydd, the ball was passed out to centre Tom Williams, passing to the wing, who passed back to Williams who saw the open field, his second try and safely converted by Milburn, 14 – 0 with less than 17 minutes played.
Play seemed to settle down at this point and Cefni continued with their attack at Bro Ffestiniog. Another break by Cefni centre Alun Jones saw Cefni move up field; but with a Bro infringement a scrum was awarded to Llangefni. When placed into the scrum the ball was picked up by captain No. 8 Iestyn Dafydd who charged forward but became isolated from his team players, and for holding on, penalty to Bro who kicked out for line out. Taking the line out, Bro retained possession and ran across field, passing the ball from hands to hands, and eventually to the hands of winger Stephen Lay, seeing open ground he ran for the try line and in at the corner. With a missed conversion the score 14 – 5.
Play continued with Bro coming back at Llangefni. A speculative kick by Cefni deep in their own territory saw Bro outside centre Lee Aspden charge the ball down which bounced back to Bro centre half Ian Ellis who was able to go under the posts, try to Bro, successful converted 14 – 12. With Bro on their heels, Cefni upped the tempo, and from excellent build up, going through the phases, centre Alun Jones saw the open field and kicked over the Bro defences into deep Bro territory for Cefni second row John Hughes to chase after the ball, winning the ball and over the try line for Cefni`s third try, successfully converted by Carwyn Milburn, 21 – 12. Bro Ffestiniog came back hard at Llangefni catching them off guard. Bro centre half Ian Ellis kicking up field with a good chase of ball, Llangefni in desperation to stop the attack failed to secure the ball, instead a Cefni infringement saw Bro awarded a penalty try, successfully converted by centre Ian Ellis, the score at half time 21 – 19.
With Bro Ffestiniog kicking off the second half, they became the dominant side and seemed in control forcing Cefni to make errors in play which affected the continuation of their 1st half performance. Cefni hooker Emyr Williams was called by referee Mr. Haydn Owen and for reasons unknown sent off for 10 minutes, yellow card. With just 14 men however Cefni continued to try getting their first half performance back. Bro were found offside and from the resulting penalty saw Cefni Carwyn Milburn pierce the posts, extending the lead 24 – 19. Play continued with some determination from both sides, but with Bro passing the ball out wide, it came to winger Stephen Lay once more, who seeing the try line, ran with the ball and into the corner, but with a missed conversion the score 24 – 24. Play continued and with just 10 minutes left of the game, Bro`s fitness and determination won the day with a further try being scored by centre Lee Aspden, successfully converted 24 – 31, and in the dying minutes of the game a penalty awarded to Bro Ffestiniog, Cefni found off side. Bro centre Lee Aspden took the challenge which he successfully kicked, the final score at the full Llangefni 24, Bro Ffestiniog 34.
Next Saturday Llangefni travel to Bala, just ahead of Llangefni in the league, so an interesting must win game.

YR WYDDGRUG / MOLD – 5 v NANT CONWY – 28 (Hanner amser / Half time: 0 -21)
Sgorwyr / Scorers:
Nant Conwy: Ceisiau / Tries: Carwyn ap Myrddin (1), Ioan Davies (1), Gareth Jones (1), Elgan Davies (1)
Trosi / Conversion: Carwyn ap Myrddin (4)
Yr Wyddgrug: Cais / Try: Jamie Winning (1)
On a dry day, Mold began brightly playing enterprising rugby. Nant managed to keep them at bay until the 12th minute. At that point, the watching masses witnessed what, arguably, turned out to be the passing movement of the game when the home defence was run tagged before full back, Carwyn ap scored a try beneath the posts. He converted his own try. During the next 10 minutes, Nant wasted three more opportunities to score tries as the final pass in each case went astray! But, from another ruck on the 22 metre line, the ball was again released amongst the backs and the movement came to an end when the winger, Ioan went over the line and ran in to touch down beneath the posts. Carwyn ap converted again. Nant continued to press for the remaining minutes of the first half and their efforts were rewarded when Gareth Jones, playing as a flanker today, squirmed over for a try on the left wing after 42 minutes. Carwyn ap turned the ball beautifully between the posts to convert. This made a half-time score of 0-15.
Mold were slightly more prominent in the second half but the match became a ‘stop start’ one as numerous penalties were awarded to both sides for technical offences. With 10 minutes remaining, both the Nant half backs were caught in a ruck. One of the Nant forwards played ‘acting’ scrum half, but his pass was intercepted by the home team’s no. 9, Jamie Winning, who ran the length of the pitch to score beside the posts. The conversion attempt failed. This score roused Nant to further pressure and it was no surprise when the Captain and prop, Elgan eventually managed to touch down for a try right in the right hand corner. Carwyn ap was again successful with a superb conversion attempt. This made a final score of 5-28.
NANT’s next match will be a HOME game against BETHESDA on Saturday 26th November 2011) in a Division 1 North League match.

Abergele 29 v 0 Wrexham
By James Needham
Abergele progressed up the league table this weekend with a display that gained a bonus point victory and a clean sheet.
However the swordsmen were lucky to collect both as penalty after penalty pinned them further back, Wrexham should have capitalised on this and the fact that Gele received three yellow cards spending thirty minutes with fourteen men.
The game started brightly for Abergele as in the first five minutes a line out created from good back handling gave the forwards a platform to push the Wrexham pack back over the whitewash allowing Mark Davies to touchdown, Alun Pritchard adding the extra two.
The next score came from a very rare event in the game – an Abergele penalty – Alun Pritchard stepped up to the mark and slotted home confidently.
On twenty minutes the persistent, niggly, loud and dynamic talent of Chris Marsh paid off as one of his numerous sniping runs came to fruition and he was able to finish off with style and at the same time give the selectors a serious headache concerning the number nine shirt. Alun Pritchard showing his consistency added the extra.
The brakes on the green machine came on quickly after that as the green army slowly started to push the self destruct button, this started with newly returned hooker Mark Doyle getting sin binned for pulling down a very powerful Wrexham maul in the gele twenty two leaving the referee no option but to brandish the yellow.
With a quick reshuffle and the assistance of all rounder Alun Pritchard the gele pack managed to keep itself on an even keel for the next 10 minutes and even managed a try through Richard Medlicott, who cut the Wrexham back line to pieces with strong angles and unstoppable running all day, getting on the end of a period of back line play that could only be described as champagne rugby. Alun Pritchard again adding to his tally with the conversion.
No sooner had the green army returned to full strength it then suffered another blow as a spat in the gele half that resulted from consistent Wrexham pressure led to a yellow card for winger Ashley Wynne.
Not long after another yellow card was given to Abergele, as the side began to creak under persistent Wrexham pressure who were gaining yards from penalty after penalty. The same traits that adapt so well for his new position got Chris Marsh into hot water not long after half time as a petulant knock down at a Wrexham penalty led to the swordsmen’s third yellow of the day.
The tension came on for the rest of the second half as the Abergele faithful became extremely nervous on the sidelines as the bonus point for the fourth try which was so desperately needed got further and further away as every effort made by Gele was thwarted by Wrexham.
Eventually five minutes from time, the class of the Gele back line became too much for Wrexham as fine running and soft hands from Ashley Wynne set up Tom Coathup, with a lot to do, cut in side well and beat the last two men showing great form on his first team debut.
Abergele will need to change their ways hugely for next weekend and will have to put discipline high on the agenda at training if they want to overcome high flyers COBRA, at Pentre Mawr on Saturday KO @14:30.

Newtown 15 v Colwyn Bay 27
Colwyn Bay secured their second away win of the season and in so doing completed a league double over Newtown who are now in danger of relegation with only eight points, five ahead of bottom club Wrexham the only side they have beaten this season.
The visitors started strongly opening up a seventeen point lead without reply and turned round 27-10 up at the interval with outside half Tom Williams in fine form as he ran in two tries and kicked two penalties and three conversions the visitors scoring being completed with a try from No 8 Ben Evans.
For the home side centre Tom Bucknell and wing Junior Dean crossed for tries with outside half Joe Murray adding a conversion and penalty

Welshpool 10 v Benllech 7
Ten second-half points for full-back Daley Jones enabled Welshpool to record their third win of the season in a hard-fought match with Benllech.
With both teams going into the game on nine points, a close game was always on the cards, and so it proved, with neither side managing to dominate the match.
Indeed, the majority of the first half was played in between the two 22-metre lines, both teams finding it difficult to break down their opposition. However, it was Benllech who struck first, crossing for a try on the stroke of half-time to take a 7-0 lead into the second half.
Welshpool were determined not to let this match slip through their fingers in front of a large home crowd, and started to put pressure on the visitors in the second half. When a penalty was conceded in front of the Benllech posts midway through the half, a shot at goal seemed the obvious choice, with Jones stepping up to give Welshpool three points.
However, Jones' work was not done for the day, as he combined with centre Dave Jones, who is regaining his pre-injury form with every game, to put Welshpool ahead with a converted try.
With Benllech desperate to try and salvage a victory, Welshpool were forced to defend their line for the last ten minutes, but managed to hold out for a victory.

Llandrindod Wells 9 v Cardiff Saracens 3
This was a surprising win for Llandrindod having lost their last three
encounters with Saracens. That they won was due in part to their dogged
determination not to crumple under the considerable pressure Saracens
imposed as well as their tighter discipline, lack of discipline by
Saracens being a significant reason for them giving the match to
Llandrindod. Two yellow cards for the visitors and one for Llandrindod,
plus numerous penalties, are evidence of this.
Having said that, this was a dour and tense affair despite the lovely
November weather and a medium to firm pitch. No score at all in the
first half, and only 12 points in the second bear witness to the tension
of the match.
Saracens were all over Llandrindod in the first quarter, being almost
permanently in the their half before the hosts managed to get a grip on
the situation, making forays to the Saracens line, and often outplaying
them in the scrums, with at least two turnovers, though their lineouts
continued to show the fragility that has marked most of their play this
season. Both sides had an opportunity to put points on the board but
with Saracens Martin Gurr missing three kickable penalties, and
Llandrinod's David Davies missing one, a 0-0 draw in this half was
perhaps a fair reflection of the first 40 minutes.
The second half saw a lot more activity. Gurr opened the scoring with a
penalty early on in the half but great Llandrindod forward play drove
Saracens from the Llandrindod half, before they gave away a penalty,
kicked by Davies and then another penalty a minute later again kicked by
Davies.
Frantic play by both sides, strewn with errors, failed to break the
stalemate of penalties before Saracens yet again transgressed in a
kickable position with Davies doing the honours. Saracens now needed a
converted try to win, but this looked unlikely and Llandrindod were on
the attack when the referee's whistle went for time.
This week, Llandrindod travel to second placed Caerau Ely in the League.

LLANDUDNO 2NDS 31 v COLWYN BAY 2NDS 19
The Ceebees travelled to Llandudno on Saturday on a bright day with no front row and only 14 players to put in a brave display only to run out of steam in the second half to go down by five tries (three converted) to three (two converted) in their latest Clwyd League clash.
The Bay started well with inspirational captain and No 8 Dean Henson after ten minutes breaking from the loose on the ten metre line to scamper 40 metres unchallenged to score under the posts. Flanker Dean Jones converted.
Henson added another try on 37 minutes after centre Serge Cabazuelo had spotted a second which Jones converted but this was the last score for the Bay. Tudno’s second row Mike Pierce went over as the final move of the first half. 19 – 5 to the Bay at half time.
It was all Llandudno in the second half as they were able to strengthen their attack with replacements and with the Ceebees losing fly half Adam Brierley with a nasty shoulder injury to go down to 13 men, the stout Bay defence was too easy for the Llandudno side to outflank and they scored four more tries through full back
Alex Owen, flanker Alan Davies, centre Matt Tyson and second row Tyrone Jones. Fly half Chris Morgan slotted three conversions.
A game played in good spirit between old rivals which was a credit to second team rugby in North Wales.

Llangefni Youth 29 v Colwyn Bay Youth 27
Following report kindly supplied by Llangefni RFC
Having lost by just 3 points at their last game, away to Mold, Llangefni were out to take the scalp of their visitors Colwyn Bay, to keep them in the top three of the league.
Llangefni kicked off the game with the ball going into Colwyn Bay possession who chased back at Cefni and for some time managed to put some pressure on the hosts; but to no avail, Cefni defences held their own stopping any advances from the visitors. Colwyn Bay continued with their attack and eventually found Cefni off side, a penalty awarded, which Colwyn Bay outside half Pat Atkinson successfully took, the score 0 - 3. Llangefni came back at the Bay and for a Colwyn Bay infringement Llangefni were given an opportunity to level the score when a penalty was awarded in their favour. Cefni full back Alun Evans successfully kicking the ball over the posts, 3 -3.
Play continued and from a scrum awarded to Colwyn Bay who retained possession, kicking up field for territory. Chasing after the ball with Llangefni, a ruck was formed and for holding on, Colwyn Bay were penalised, penalty to Cefni who kicked up field but failed to find line out. Colwyn Bay return kicked the ball into Cefni territory and from loose ball, Cefni were able to kick it back up field, chased by the Cefni forwards, allowing hooker Ieuan Evans the opportunity to get to the ball, get the pickup and continuing with the run, over the line and placing it down for the first try to Llangefni, but with a failed conversion 8 – 3. Play continued and from a ruck formed just inside the Llangefni territory, Colwyn Bay retained possession passing out wide to centre half Pat Atkinson who took in the Cefni defences before passing out wide to his full back Harry Donegan who saw the open field before him, went over the line for their first try but with a failed conversion, the score 8 – 8.
Llangefni re-started the game, the ball going to Colwyn Bay who passed forward, scrum to Cefni. The ball was fed in and out to centre half who kicked up field into deep Bay territory and out of play, Colwyn Bay line out, less than 22 meters from their own touch line. Bay received the ball which was passed back and passed out of play, Llangefni throw in. Cefni received the ball, moving forward with ball in hand with less than a meter or two to go to the line, ruck formed, and the ball was slid out and passed to Cefni prop Paul Owens who seeing the gap dived over the line for a try in the corner. With full back Alun Evans stepping up to the challenge of a difficult kick, he successfully pierced the post increasing the score to 15 – 8.
Play continued with Colwyn Bay coming back at the hosts and on the Cefni 22 meter line Llangefni were found in an offside position, penalty awarded to Colwyn Bay, their outside half Pat Atkinson kicking out for the line out, 5 meter line. Colwyn Bay threw the short ball and formed a wedge drive before forming a ruck, the ball eventually coming out to Colwyn Bay Atkinson, passing to outside centre Dan Parry who went under the posts for their second try of the game, successfully converted by Pat Atkinson, the score once more equal pegging 15 all which was the score at half time.
The second half saw the intensity of the game lifted by both teams, both wanting to get to the final whistle in the lead. Llangefni were given an early opportunity when the Bay were found holding on to the ball in the ruck, penalty to Cefni. Confident with their line out, Cefni kicked up field gaining territory and finding touch. Cefni threw in but they were unable to get the ball cleared out, possession came to the Bay who kicked back up field into Cefni territory and out for a Cefni throw in. Play continued and for a ruck infringement, holding on by Colwyn Bay a second penalty was awarded to Llangefni, an opportunity to put points on the score board, but kicking wide of the posts, the score remained 15 all. Llangefni were soon found infringing in the ruck and giving an opportunity to Colwyn Bay to go for goal; instead they kicked up field going for the line out. Colwyn Bay took the clean ball and came at the Cefni defence, the ball came loose but for a Cefni knock on a scrum was awarded to the Bay. Positioned in the Cefni 22 meter box and mid field, Colwyn Bay placed the ball into the scrum and passed back to their centre half Pat Atkinson who ran at the Cefni defences, avoiding the tackles and over the line in the corner, try to Colwyn Bay with missed conversion the score 15 – 20.
Play continued with some intensity with Colwyn Bay wanting to hold on to the lead, and Llangefni wanting to catch up. From mid field play, Llangefni going forward there was a ruck situation, Colwyn Bay earning the turn over ball, the ball coming out to Colwyn Bay outside centre Dan Parry who had an unobstructed run gaining his second try under the posts, successfully converted by Pat Atkinson, 15 – 27.
Many were giving the game to Colwyn Bay at this point, but there was more in Llangefni yet and Colwyn Bay were denied the win. A try from Llangefni centre Deiniol Jones, converted by second row Rhys Hughes saw the score 22 – 27, and in the last minutes of the game after an intense forwards battle between two excellent teams Llangefni scrum half Carwyn Jones saw the opening in the corner, taking advantage of it and scoring the last try of the game, successfully converted by Rhys Hughes, the final score at the full time whistle Llangefni 29, Colwyn Bay 27. Llangefni Youth next play on the 18th December when they travel to Denbigh.
Following report kindly supplied by Colwyn Bay RFC
Llangefni Youth 29 Colwyn Bay Youth 27
The Bay were cruelly denied a superb victory in the dying seconds of a pulsating match at Llangefni. With seconds of the match remaining full-back Harry Donegan produced a brilliant try saving tackle on the Cefni flanker in his own 22 only to suffer a potentially serious neck injury for his efforts, play continued and the home side were 10metres from the line when the referee who was unaware of the medics attending the injured full-back, awarded a penalty against The Bay which was quickly taken and then the ball was recycled to the Cefni backs to score the try to level the match which was successfully converted to gain themselves a fortunate win.
The Bay opened the scoring with a Pat Atkinson penalty which was cancelled out minutes later with a similar offence by the visitors but Cefni’s large pack paved the way for the first try when their No.8 got his hands on the ball illegally from the side of the ruck with to cross for a breakaway try.The Bay showed good character to hit straight back at the opposition with good support and strength at the contact area, quick delivery from the ruck found fly-half Pat Atkinson who drew players in and passed to full-back Harry Donegan to go over for a try in the corner. The Bay’s confidence grew after the opening try but could not stop Cefni’s forwards drive into the visitors 22 and were unable to stop the home No.8 powering himself over to increase their lead. With half time approaching continued belief saw The Bay play creative, intelligent rugby by taking the opportunity for gaining territory from another Cefni infringement saw Pat Atkinson find his touchline and from the subsequent lineout offloaded to centre Dan Parry who stepped inside the defence to score under the posts and level the match at the break.
The visitors kept up the momentum into the second period and within five minutes they regained the lead with an excellently worked try, again gaining ground from the home side’s indiscipline won the lineout mauled the ball and then scrum-half Arthur Astbury released the ball to Pat Atkinson to hit the gap to score. The home side made numerous substitutions which disrupted their game and The Bay took full advantage of this to increase their lead with the best try of the match which was set up by No.8 Harry Pemberton whose offload in the tackle released the supporting Dan Parry to score unopposed under the posts. With minutes to go the tiring Bay pack who had worked tirelessly all afternoon could not steal the home side’s lineout ball eight metres from their own try line and conceded a crucial try in the left hand corner, the substitute left-footed goal kicker converted the difficult kick which consequently won them the match.
The Bay produced an excellent, committed, disciplined display with all players candidates for man of the match which was awarded to Pat Atkinson whose tactical kicking always gaining territory for his side.

Llanidloes had only 14 players and there was 'passive scrums' throughout. The numbers went down to 13 per side after an injury to one of the Llanidloes players. One of our players was taken to Hospital with an 'Air Ambulance' after what appeared to be a serious leg injury. It can be , at the worst, a fractured ankle, but, hopefully, it won't come to that and it will be severe brusing. At the moment, we are unable to contact his parents to see what the latest situation is.

Caernarfon Ladies 65 v Y Coeduon Ladies (Blackwood) 0
Caernarfon Ladies faced Blackwood at home last Sunday and from the onset decided to spin the ball wide at any opportunity. Two quick tries in succession one for Manon Williams who beat the defence to score and the second to Sera Bailey who outfoxed the Blackwood defence to double the score under the post. Bailey converted both scores.
After a brief period when Blackwood were on the attack a take against the head gave enough room for Elin Evans to force herself through the gap and score this was followed by a quickly taken penalty which gave Bailey her second try and conversion.
Good hands was the order of the day and with another quick release allowed Manon Williams to outstrip the defence again score her second try.
Lauren Hasssett on the other wing was not to be outdone and scored a classy individual effort that Bailey converted.
The typical valleys rugby did not bring any results to Balckwood but their work rate should have seen them rewarded.
A trademark Dyddgu Hywel break following an excellent Jenna Tugwell catch in the line gave Williams her hatrick at the close of the first half with the score at 43-0.
Numerous changes were made at half time and early into the half with Alicia Peyrasse making her debut for Caernarfon on the wing.
Once again the quick footwork of Lauren Hasssett saw her race clear of the covering defence to score her second and minutes later Dyddgu Hywel collected on the blind side of a scrum and motored half the length of the field to score close to the uprights. Bailey succeeded once again with the conversion.
Caernarfon were responsible for giving away a number of penalties as Blackwood mounted one last attempt to gain some consolation but stubborn defence and some serious tacking protected the white line.
As Blackwood tired Lauren Hassett squeezed in at the corner flag for the second hatrick of the day. The scoring was completed when from a Cenin Eifion charge No. 9 Leah Collins to dived over.
The game was played in a hard but fair manner and the Blackwood squad were congratulated on their attitude and this was reflected with an invitation to socialise after the return fixture in April. Caernarfon Ladies took no time in accepting the invitation!
The final score was Caernarfon 65 - Blackwood 0
The Ladies next fixture will be a cup match at Gorseion on December 4th.
