The Welsh Rugby Union have issued the following reminder to all clubs with regard to non-fulfilment of fixtures and replacements.
National League Rules - non fulfilment of fixtures
Concerns have been expressed about the number of postponed National League matches already this season and Members of the Regulatory Committee wish to amplify the relevant sections of the National League Rules.
All National League matches must be played and each Club must complete its National League programme (General Rule 7 a) and if any WRU Club in the Premier Division, Championship, Divisions 1, 2, 3 and 4 withdraw from the National League during the season, or if a Club in those Divisions fails to complete the league programme, that club will be relegated to Division 6 level for the 2013/14 season (Rule 3).
Replacements
National League rule 4.8 summarises the number of replacements allowed in each Division of the League and it is essential that the names of replacements are properly recorded on the team sheet handed to the referee prior to the start of the match (Rule 4.6.1(ix)) and that any other players who are not part of the match day squad (i.e. not listed on the team sheet) remain outside the playing enclosure away from the area designated for replacements for duration of the match, to avoid confusion over the number of available replacements.
