Sunday sees some of the best young Rugby talent in North Wales on show as the provincial Under 14 and 15 Tournament takes place for the second consecutive year at Rydal School in Colwyn Bay
At the Under 14 age group it is just Gogledd South, East and West who are in action and whilst all three are similarly involved at the Under 15 age-group, additional competition is added via the presence of the Welsh Exiles side.
For those playing in the older age-group the Tournament provides perhaps the final opportunity to impress the watching RGC 1404 Academy coaches who, following its completion, will be looking to finalise their squad for next seasons Under 16 regional age-grade competition.
That the Tournament is seen as being a key date in the North Wales Age-grade Rugby Calendar was confirmed by the Regions Development Performance Manager, Marc Roberts, who stated:
'The establishment of the provincial sides has greatly widened the pool of players from which we select our regional age-grade sides and the Provincial Tournament gives us the opportunity to watch these players in action against each other. That they are joined by a team from the Welsh Exiles, who have provided us with a number of players in recent years, will further enhance the level of competition.
We are particularly pleased that one of our key partners, Rydal School, have again very kindly agreed to host the Tournament and Brackley fields where the games are being played is a perfect setting for what I am sure will be an afternoon of high-class Rugby Union'.
The Tournament is due to start at 10.30 am
