Dear Alwyn
At our Senior Committee Meeting last night at Colwyn Bay RFC it was agreed that we should request you to place on the Agenda of the next meeting of the North Wales Council, an item about the WRU census which was the subject of a letter from the WRU Chief Executive Roger Lewis to all Clubs dated 2 December 2011. The Colwyn Bay Committee was somewhat alarmed to note that the census seems to repeat an exercise that was carried out last year, gathering information about Clubs which because of the way the “my WRU” portal worked was excessively time consuming especially for a Club like ours with 13 teams to report on along with referees and coaches details in double figures.
Whilst we quite understand why the WRU wishes to have this information, the time consuming way in which they gather it is deeply frustrating for the officers here at Colwyn Bay who are after all volunteers.
I look forward to hearing from you that the matter can be placed on the Agenda at the next meeting.
Yours sincerely
M Eames Hughes
Secretary Colwyn Bay RFC
