Ebbw Vale 14 v NW Senior Academy 31
Following on from their 46-3 win last week against Division 1 North league leaders, Caernarfon, the NW Senior Academy continued their winning ways with a great win, away at Ebbw Vale.
Try scorers for the Academy were Ben Stelmaszek (2), Josh Leach and Luke Cudmore.
The following report was taken from the Ebbw Vale RFC web-site:
Ebbw lose out to North Wales region
The team formerly known as Rygbi Gogledd Cymru 1404, now officially called the WRU North Wales Academy, proved too strong for the Steelmen at Eugene Cross Park on Saturday afternoon, although the final score flattered them somewhat. Ebbw's scores came from Ben Parry and Gary Wilkes; Sam Mills converted both. The score was 17-14 at half time, with Canadian international outside half Connor Braid converting tries by Josh Leach and Ben Stalizmak. The game deteriorated as a spectacle in the second half and the visitors scored late tries by Stalizmak and Canadian international lock Luke Cudmore.
The Ebbw Vale team was: Gary Wilkes, Wes Cunliffe, Sam Collins, Tristan Davies, Andrew Bevan; Sam Mills, Derrick Tredray; Ross Jones, ben Parry, Robert Sevenoaks; Damien Hudd (capt.), Ashley Sweet; Kenny Stewart, Ethan Matthews, Nicky Coughlin. Bench: Joshua Powell, James Reeves, Mathew WIlliams, Luke Price, Dorian Jones, Lloyd Hines, Andrew Jenkins, Daniel AJuwa, Charlie Simpson.
