BETHESDA – 3 V NANT CONWY – 6 (Hanner amser / Half time: 0-3)
Sgorwyr / Scorers:
Nant: Ciciau Cosb / Penalty Kicks: Peredur Ellis (2)
Bethesda: Cic Gosb / Penalty Kick: Dylan Roberts
Ar ddiwrnod gwlyb a gwyntog arall, gwelwyd dau dîm yn chwarae yn debyg iawn i’w gilydd a gwelwyd hynny yn y sgôr ar y diwedd. Dau bac yn canslo'i gilydd i raddau helaeth gydag un cynnig agos at gais yr un drwy’r gêm gyfan.
Ar ôl 9 munud o chwarae , bu i Pep drosi cic gosb o tua 30 metr ac, yn wir dyna oedd yr unig wahaniaeth rhwng y ddau dîm ar yr egwyl!
Yn yr ail hanner, daeth unig sgôr y tîm cartref o gic gosb gan eu rhif 10 (Dylan Roberts) ar ôl 12 munud. Daeth Nant yn ôl yn gryf ar ôl hyn a bu i Wyn Roberts, y bachwr gario’r bêl dros y llinell ond llwyddodd Bethesda i’w chadw rhag cyffwrdd y llawr! Gyda 10 munud yn weddill, trosodd Pep gic gosb arall o bellter i roi Nant ar y blaen unwaith eto. Pwysodd Bethesda’n gryf am weddill yr amser gan ddod yn agos i sgorio cais ond trawyd y bel ymlaen yn y bas olaf. Bu i Fethesda fethu tair cic gosb o bellter hefyd yn ystod y cyfnod yma.
Dydd Sadwrn nesaf, Bydd Nant yn chwarae GARTREF yn erbyn Pwllheli.
On another wet and windy day, the spectators watched two similar teams playing through the forwards and that was noticeable in the final score. Two packs cancelling each other to a large extent with each side only gaining one opportunity each to score a try throughout the entire match.
After 9 minutes play, Pep converted penalty kick from about 30 metres and that, indeed, was the only score during the first half.
In the second half, a similar pattern emerged and the Home no.10, Dylan Roberts, converted a penalty kick after 12 minutes play. Nant retaliated after this and Wyn Roberts managed to get the ball over the Bethesda try line but without being able to ground the ball. With 10 minutes of play left, Pep stepped up to convert another penalty kick and score what turned out to be the winning points. Bethesda now controlled the game for the last few minutes and could have scored a try in the corner of the ball had not been knocked on following the final pass Also, during this period, Bethesda also missed three penalty attempts although they were from distance.
Next Saturday, Nant will be playing AT HOME against Pwllheli.

Menai Bridge 25 v Bangor 5
A one minute silence was observed prior to Kick-off at the first ever league match between local rivals Menai and Bangor in memory of Callum MacKay, an ex-member of Menai who tragically lost his life in a sea accident recently.
Menai ensured that recently demoted Bangor's miserable start in Division 3 continued with a 5 try to one victory (25 - 5) in a sloppy,error-strewn affair much affected by a very strong, blustery wind which made handling and goal kicking nigh impossible.
Early pressure saw home No 8, Gareth Parry, score the opening try within 5 mins, followed by Right wing, Rob McGuffie who touched down out right ensuring Menai a 10 v 0 interval lead.
Within 5 mins of the restart Menai scored twice, the first by Left-winger, Scott Clarke, the second by No 8 G Parry out on the left. Minutes later an unfortunate accident to impressive winger Clarke saw him stretchered off and taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.
After a 15 min. delay Bangor scored a consolation try when Centre,Huw Humphreys, took advantage of a Menai error to score a try in the left corner, making the score 20-5.
Into the last quarter, Menai substitute Terry Hughes forced his way over the goal line, following a forward drive for the afternoon's final try to ensure Menai a deserved victory.
Next week Menai will face a much sterner test with a visit of current leaders, Shotton Steel.
