With Chris Horsman at the helm, when the players run out for that opening game in September they will be totally prepared for the season ahead.
As RGC 1404 Head Coach Chris Horsman looked back at the season of competitive friendlies he has been delighted with the progress of the players performances on the pitch “it has been a successful season as a group, and we have come a long way. The skill and fitness levels of the squad has improved and we are now a team with a great atmosphere within the group”
After running the Georgian national side close in their last game the future looks good for RGC 1404 as they enter Division 1 East in September and Horsman can’t wait for the League season to start “I am lucky to have a great group of players and staff, and with the performances this year it bodes well going into the League. We now have a clear route for progression and I am excited on the path we are on”
That progression will start when the RGC 1404 squad return for pre-season training in June, with three phases planned for the players including Skills and Conditioning, Unit Skills and finally three pre-season friendlies in August. The friendlies will be played at grounds around the Region and Horsman looks to identify new talent for the years to come. With all the plans in place for September Horsman knows it will be a new challenge “we will need a strong squad as it will be a different type of experience playing week in week out, and we want to be doing well for the North Wales region”
It is exciting times for RGC 1404 with the groundwork laid over the past 6 months and there is one thing that is certain with Chris Horsman at the helm, when the players run out for that opening game in September they will be totally prepared for the season ahead.
