In the week that the RGC senior team play there first historic HOME game in division one East at Eirias Park 5.30pm KO, the U18s age grade hookers get a surprise boost.
The RGC U18's academy hookers got an extra surprise in their academy throwing session this week. Huw Bennet Wales international popped in to cast his eyes of the next generation of talented rugby players to be produced in North Wales. Huw who is in the region to promote the international autumn series had the opportunity to stop into Llandrillo Coleg Cymru and cast his eye over the RGC U18S.
After that Huw visited the impressive Eirias Park facilities where he met players and staff. Marc Roberts the WRU performance program manager for North Wales commented, “It's always great when young players get the opportunity to meet international players. Every young player in the RGC academy wants to ultimately play for Wales. Meeting players who have achieved that goal just helps cement that ambition”
RGC senior team play their first home game of the season this Saturday 22nd of September at the home of North Wales Rugby Parc Eirias. K.O. 5.30pm. against Tredegar.
