Whilst many will be looking to take their holidays during August, there will be no let up for the RGC 1404 senior squad with three highly competitive pre-season friendly matches having been arranged as part of the squad's preparations for their entry into Division 1 East next season.
The first against Bargoed, last season's Division 1 East runners-up, will take place at Llanidloes on Saturday 11 August and will be followed a week later by a game against the reigning Division 1 West champions, Tata Steel.
Their final game on the evening of 24th August will see them at home to English Division 2 North Runners-up Caldy.
Speaking after the announcement of the fixtures, RGC 1404 Head Coach Chris Horsman commented, 'When we were planning pre-season these were exactly the sort of fixtures that we were looking to play. Both Bargoed and Tata Steel will give an insight to the squad of the level of physical intensity that they can look to face week in, week out when they enter the leagues proper and everyone involved in rugby this side of the border is aware of how competitive the fixture against Caldy is likely to be.'
