Llandudno Rugby Club Under 14s ended their season with a very successful tour to Ireland
Based in North Dublin, Llandudno were hosted by Suttonians RFC and Malahide RFC - both are long established and successful Leinster clubs.
In the first game on Friday evening against Suttonians, Llandudno started as they meant to go on and played typical 'Barbarian' style running rugby from the outset. Josh Moore scored the first of his four tries in this game and eight tries on tour, which showed that he is now a very determined finisher. Llandudno won the game 50-5 with the other tries coming from Connor Jones, Morgan Owen, Isaac Williams and Sam Hughes, with two conversions from Iwan Kyffin and three from Connor Jones.
On Saturday Llandudno travelled to Malahide to face the stronger of the two teams, but again ran away with a 61-25 victory, despite Malahide bolstering the team with some large and strong Under 15 players. The tries were scored by Josh Moore (4), Morgan Owen (3), Isaac Williams, (2), Sam Hughes and a first try for winger Elliott LeMonde which was celebrated by the whole team. Iwan Kyffin kicked three conversions.
Overall a very successful tour and thanks to Vaughan Williams for making all the arrangements and to the team main sponsors - Llandudno Garage and Grosvenor Construction. Thanks also to Suttonians and Malahide for being such great hosts.
