Scarlets wing George North has said he is undaunted by Wales' gruelling preparations for the World Cup
Wales' build-up for the competition will include two separate training camps in Poland in July.
And 19-year-old North, who has won five caps, believes the hard work will be crucial if Wales want to be competitive in New Zealand.
"It will be hard. We're obviously not there for a holiday. For the boys it will be massive," said North.
"When you hear the word boot camp and [in] Poland, of all places, obviously you're nervous.
"Physically you need to be up there with the best to compete and mentally I think if we're all there going through the same pain we can relate that to a game.
"So when the times are hard and everyone's on their knees we can relate back [to] 'we've been here before boys, we got through it, we can get through it and hopefully win'."
Warren Gatland has named a 45-man preliminary World Cup squad which will be reduced to 30 before they head off to New Zealand.
Celebrity centre Gavin Henson has also been included in Wales' training squad, but will also take part in a dating show in the coming weeks.
North says the former Ospreys player settled in well on his return to the international fold.
Henson made his first Welsh start in more than two years in the recent 31-28 defeat by the Barbarians at the Millennium Stadium.

We've got a good bunch of boys and they're all keen to progress
George North, Scarlets and Wales wing. Henson provided the pass for North to open the scoring for Wales against the Baa-Baas in the final match of the international season.
"He fitted in pretty well and he helped me a couple of times," North said of Henson.
"It was the first time I've met him. He's a good guy [and] he's been alright with me.
"He's been mates with the Ospreys boys and obviously been in the Welsh camp before."
As part of their World Cup preparations, Wales will face England in two warm-up matches before a home game against Argentina in August.
North admitted Wales have plenty of work ahead of them over the coming months after they ended the season with defeat against the Baa-Baas.
"Everyone wanted to win," added North. "[At] the end of the day discipline, mistakes and our game management wasn't quite there.
"But looking forward now leading to the World Cup I think we've got good momentum. We've got a good bunch of boys and they're all keen to progress."
